We consider ourselves to be great problem solvers.
Most clients of ours have similar problems that almost
always fall into the category of having out-of-use electronic
equipment, sometimes mountains of it, usually in warehouses
nationwide and sometimes in offices, closets and desk
drawers. Intercon Solutions works toward solving e-waste
problems by developing electronics recycling programs
to fit the requirements of each one of our valued clients.
We completely recycle all types of electronics equipment
and material, including all computers (mainframes, monitors,
terminals, CPU's), printers, fax machines, modems, bridges,
hubs, copy machines, consumer electronics (radios, CD
players, dvd players, clocks, calculators, telephones,
cellular phones), components and various other types
of plastic and metal. Each piece of equipment and/or
material is tracked, disassembled by hand, carefully
separated and eventually utilized as feedstock for various
raw material extraction processes (including smelting
and refining). These raw materials are in turn used
to produce new metal and plastic products. As our environmental
policy includes zero landfill tolerance, all equipment,
including all hazardous substances will be processed
according to these ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified methods. It is
Intercon policy for us to know exactly what happens
to whatever we take in. The processing facilities that
we utilize are located within the continental United
States where we can monitor how your material is being
handled and the compliance of the facilities' processes
to state and federal regulations.
It is important for you to know what happens to your
material from the time it leaves you to the absolute
end of the line and this is why we're so focused on
employing specialized material tracking methods that
generally include photography of equipment upon arrival,
labeling, weighing, and keeping inventory. We can also
provide custom Internet-based programs that provide
accurate and detailed tracking of product and facilitate
communications between different facilities. All materials
are handled at our Chicago, IL facility and loads can
be handled separately so they can be monitored throughout
the entire recycling process. Our entire facility is
monitored by Department of Defense approved closed-circuit
video surveillance. Certificates of Destruction (Recycling)
are always provided upon completion of the recycling
process.
