Intercon Solutions Plans Program to Raise Environmental Awareness
Electronics recycler Intercon Solutions, Chicago Heights , Ill., is taking corporate clients and consumers back to school with a program designed to raise environmental awareness.
The initiative, which Intercon says will educate participants on how and why to recycle, includes new literature, business-to-business workshops and a month-long recyclable collection service.
“Not only do we want to increase recyclables, re-routing toxic material from entering our waste stream, but also prevent security breach and identity theft from affecting consumers,” says Hasna Abouseir, Intercon director of business development. “Our Back-to-Green-School program offers our consultants the opportunity to update current clients' recycling programs, develop new ones for prospects and remind consumers that they also have a responsibility in protecting our environment by recycling their outdated electronics.”
Intercon's recycling process concentrates exclusively on recovering raw materials in an efficient, cost-effective manner. All electronics are physically de-manufactured and destroyed.
Intercon is offering Back-to-Green-School workshops to clients and prospects throughout the month of August.
